About Me

Katelyn is an undergraduate student at UCSD studying mathematics, economics, and data science. Driven by her passion for applying statistical analysis to the social sciences, she is exploring interdisciplinary fields that integrate these three subjects. One such area of focus is creating regression models for electricity markets to identify optimal pricing strategies that encourage the adoption of renewable energy while ensuring affordability and equity for consumers from diverse financial backgrounds.

In her free time, Katelyn enjoys experimenting with espresso preparation. After a close friend gifted a De'Longhi espresso maker to her, she has devoted significant time to perfecting her methods to provide the best experience for her guests. Her goal is to master both the art of coffee making and hospitality to ultimately open a hybrid coffee shop and internet café, where she can offer both traditional coffee and computer services to customers.

In addition to coffee making, Katelyn also enjoys rock climbing, playing music with friends, and baking bread. If you are interested in checking out more of her creations and study abroad experiences, please visit @kaiyun.wong on Instagram and kaiyuncorner on YouTube. Thank you!
